I Am the Infinite Sky

Janak speaks again, and the imagery becomes cosmic: 'I am the infinite sky in which the universe arises like clouds — coming and going, never staining the sky.' Osho uses this to address the question of whether the awakened person feels 'big.' He says no — bigness is still a quality. The sky does not feel big; it does not feel anything. It is the space in which feelings appear. Janak's voice has become quieter, more spacious.
आकाशवदनन्तोऽहं घटवत्प्राकृतं जगत्।
ākāśavad ananto'haṃ ghaṭavat prākṛtaṃ jagat
I am infinite like the sky; the natural world is like pots — appearing in space, vanishing in space.

Look up at the sky once today. Notice: the sky is not affected by the cloud. Even the storm passes; the sky is unchanged. You are this. Test it: what passes through you today, and what remains?
